Stephen Orejudos

Steve OrejudosTrumpet player Stephen Orejudos has accepted the position of Second/Utility Trumpet with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra for the 2012-2013 season. Stephen will perform in 13 subscription concerts, 4 operas, and several ballets, as well as light classical, pops and children’s concerts throughout the season.

As a classically trained musician, he has an active career performing with symphony orchestras, opera companies, and jazz combos throughout the U.S. He is a tenured member of:

Milwaukee Ballet, 2nd trumpet
South Bend Symphony, principal trumpet

Steve performed with the Milwaukee Symphony at a ceremony in 2011 to unveil the new statue of Baseball Commission Bud Selig at Brewer Stadium. He also performed with the New Millenium Orchestra in Ravinia.

Steve has shared the stage for popular music engagements with artists such as Mannheim Steamroller, Ben E. King, Olivia Newton-John, the Temptations, and Tony Bennett, and he has performed the National Anthem for the opening of a Chicago Bulls game. He also performs as a trumpet soloist and ensemble performer at weddings and special events.

Steve currently teaches at the Merit School of Music in Chicago and Lake Forest High School in Lake Forest, Illinois. He has also been a judge with the Fischoff Chamber Music competition the past three years in the first round senior winds/percussion division.
